….now to get my head down and start this course properly. It’s only been 10 months since I signed up….not long really….😳
I’ve got no excuses now…..the next batch of elves can wait until autumn 2018 (I had a lot of requests from family…..) only made 15 this time, I have at least 8 more to make for Christmas 2018.
I have my nice shiny iPad Pro with dooody pencil……soo…….
I’m going to properly start this now……
It’s been 6 months since I signed up for this course, I’ve now paid for it all (did it over instalments) and I have all the tutorials (12 of them) and all of the assignments (8 of them). I’ve been reading tutorial 1 on and off, have made some notes, that mean nothing as it’s been a while, but not got any further.
Over the weekend, I went out and got myself a nice shiny iPad Pro, with pencil and keyboard, to help me on this mission. Why such a toy well…….
- It is a lot smaller and easier to carry around than a Tesco Trolls shopping bag with a huge folder and loads of paper.
- It means that everything can be typed up straight away, rather than writing it all down and then typing it all up.
- It also means that I can take it everywhere with me and do bits as and when I can, at lunchtimes, at the bf’s, on the train, rather than snatching half hour or so on the (very) occasional evening when I get home from work.
It’s an expensive way of giving myself a kick, but I need to do this, and I’ve now got no reason not to. Otherwise I will get a lot of grief from the bf, because it was a lot of money, the pencils aren’t cheap, and my reason for the Pro and pencil was so that I can draw over adverts etc for my assignments. I’ve only got the keyboard because John Lewis did a great offer £60 off if you buy the pencil and keyboard together. The other great thing is that for some reason John Lewis was selling the 9.5 iPad Pro 256GB for £60 less than Apple, if you had a gold one….bargain I thought, so technically the keyboard only cost me around £40….
Soooooo……..hopefully assignment one will be done and submitted within the next couple of weeks………
It shows how busy I’ve been, that I’ve lost track of time, I’ve just discovered that I’m due tutorial 10 this weekend not tutorial 9………
For some reason, I thought I’d check my email spam folder this morning. I’m so glad I did, tutorial 9 has been sitting there since 11th June….ooops……
I’ve got tutorial 8, I think 9 will arrive this weekend……
I really must make the time to do this stuff………
This isn’t going to be as easy as I thought/hoped.
I’ve started tutorial one properly now. Reading it properly rather than a quick scan through. And had a scan through tutorial two….
There’s going to be a lot of work involved…..hopefully my Saturday mornings and odd lunchtime will be enough!
I’d forgotten how to do homework, it’s been quite a few years since I’ve done any proper studying with an assignment at the end…..
So….I’ve received the first two tutorials…of 12 tutorials and 8 assignments for my “Professional Photo, Film,TV & Personal Stylist’s” Course has arrived…… these will be arriving every 2 weeks, with the next one due next week….
I’m excited, but a little nervous….hopefully that’s good!
I’ve been good and read through the first tutorial…..not had chance to do much else with it yet. The second tutorial arrived last week, so really need to knuckle down. Saturday mornings is my plan…with the odd lunchtime when I can.
To be fair I haven’t had much chance in the few weeks to do anything with it, I’ve been a tad too busy!
As well as working full time, volunteering at my local library and taking parents to hospital appointments, I’ve turned up a friends wedding dress (she looks beautiful in it), I’m helping the bf with his kit car (that’s another story) and then there’s my Mums Mother’s Day pressie that she should’ve been her Christmas pressie…..I’m knitting her a throw/blanket type thing! There’s other stuff I do too, but that’s not exciting at all….
I did manage to fit in a couple of trips to the cinema to see John Wick; Chapter 2 and Logan (I love Wolverine, he was my favourite character from the X-Men years ago when I used to watch the cartoons on TV, Hugh Jackman, has just brought hime to life for me)….Cineworld cards are great!!
Oh and I went to see the Kaiser Chiefs…..fantastic they were. The jacket Ricky was wearing was stunning. Love going to see these guys live….I love the Ricky Wilson that’s on stage with the Kaiser Chiefs. Seen them a few times now, each time just gets better.
Apparently I had 2.5 days holiday leave from work the other week, not sure where it went!!
